How astonishing it is, that in this vast and silent sprawl of space, there spins a single rock, lit up by the light of a lonely star— a stone blossoming green and blue with the miracle of life. And if we are blessed enough to walk upon its skin, we only ever experience this moment— 'now' a bead threaded upon the necklace of eternity. And no matter how wise, how cunning, how evolved we imagine ourselves, we are forever be humbled by forces older, wilder, and greater than we could ever name. Over and over, we live, we die, we become something else- and our else-ness never leaves this cosmic stone that spins in a placeless place in eternity, in a timeless time in forever, in a body that is unconditionally hugged by the earth itself.

There is a sense of peace
that comes from not being able
to solve life's biggest questions
With the weapon of our knowing laid down,
We see no thing left to fight
For or against…
