A poem for you

The way back to yourself is through refusal

You don’t have to be brave - just refuse to compromise your peace.

Refuse to struggle
and you will see 
just how much you struggle.

Refuse to judge
and you will see 
just how much you judge.

Refuse to make this moment 
anything other than what it is
and you will see 
just how much you resist.

If you don’t want to carry on this way, 
refuse to keep going this way…

For every step taken 
that declines the invitation 
to repeat the past,
a new future is born. 

A gentle reminder that each moment presents us an opportunity to choose actions distinct from our past behaviors, thereby unlocking endless new possibilities.
