“Thelma, beloved mother. Loved the ocean.” That’s what it says on the bench I’m sitting on that teeters over the side of a cliff pointing out towards the sea. Some couldn’t afford the brass so have etched their own eternal words into the weathered timber boards, “Dani Loves Arlo” “Bec was here” “Alan & Dave 2016” Who we loved and the fact we existed. What else speaks more eloquently of the human experience than love and being? What else could be harder to leave behind? Perhaps I too will be immortalized one day, and those few stewed words will speak of who I loved and how I existed… “Sez, beloved mother. Was the ocean.”
New Daily Affirmation Series
What’s been happening recently in the Remembering Wild community?
We’ve been gathering daily on our chat thread to read a new affirmation. It’s a beautiful space to wake up to and align with. At the end of the series, everyone receives a printable booklet and audio version of the affirmations to carry with them and use in their own practice. If you feel called towards a more intentional & heart-centered life, join our group of fellow wildlings ❋
I wish I could help share the freedom in your ideas and words with the entire planet.
This could refer to my mom, Betty, who loved the ocean from a special seat overlooking the beach and ocean with her dogs.
