Unimaginable Magic requires one ingredient… attention. Who says there are only four distinct seasons, or twenty-four individual hours… or just one life in a tree? Take Magnolia, There is sunrise reaching top leaf time, shady leaf-net cast on ground time, tightly twisted flower like head-towel time, unrolling petal like silk dollar time, scent overflowing time, falling stamens like rain time, red seeds erupting from cone time, sulphur-crested cockatoo throwing seed bombs time, trunk spun in web time, leaf underbelly turning copper time, moon cradled in curved branch time, not even a rustle time… There are those of us who rush and see only one Magnolia, speaking ferociously to only its passive beauty… but there are also those of us who sit for just a quiet moment and realize there are infinite Magnolias, and an infinite amount of conversations to silently be had with Her.
Without much drama, I’ve walked away from social media. There’s no big story here, nothing to preach or condemn. I’ve just come to believe that attention is magic and not a currency.
You know, I know, we all know by now that we have a choice, even if we are told we won't survive without it.
But doesn’t that sound rather lovely? To not just survive?
So I wipe my sweaty brow as if I just ran a marathon I didn’t sign up for - and move on.
I’ve always been a fan of taking the road that forks into the deep dark yellow-eyed woods, choosing them over the sun-strewn one where long-eared pastel rabbits point you in the ‘right’ direction.
I have found more tools in the dark and more ways to live inside the heart of Joy by paving my own way. Maybe you have too. And maybe that’s why we will be able to create something new here together, with the magic of our unsplit attention.
Perhaps when you feel called to, you will share one of my poems or tell a friend about this space -and perhaps this will become our silent way of helping each other grow.
Perhaps this works and maybe it doesn’t - but I’d rather see what comes from sincerity and soul rather than striving and scrutiny.
One of the greatest regrets we have at the end of our life is that we never got to live it our way… so let’s love what we do, love where we are and be intentional with what we put into our hearts, minds & souls - because ultimately, that’s who we become.

So wise and beautiful. And how awkward that we were thinking the same thing about shutting off social media. I am on my way but gah it is hard.
But magic doesn’t exist without attention. And I want to live my life fully✨ Thak you for today!
Have a great weekend💕🕊️
